Web development for Canadian companies, bilingual because the law says so.
HK Group International builds websites, web applications and online stores for companies across Canada. French is built as a full second version with its own URLs — a requirement under the Charter of the French Language for anything directed at Quebec — and the privacy layer is built to Quebec's Law 25, which covers PIPEDA everywhere else automatically.
Professional web development at the core, backed by full-scale software engineering.
Our primary focus is designing and building professional, high-performing websites and web applications for companies that take their online presence seriously. We do not work from templates or page builders — every project is coded by hand and built specifically for that client. Where a project calls for more — custom platforms, enterprise systems, or a long-term technical partner — the same experienced team delivers that too, end to end.

Website & Web Application Development
Corporate websites, customer portals and complex web applications — every one coded by hand from a blank canvas, with no templates, page builders or CMS platforms involved. Every project is structured for speed, stability and years of reliable use, not just a launch date.
E-commerce & Digital Commerce
Online stores built as professional systems, written from scratch for each client rather than assembled from a template or an off-the-shelf platform like most shops on the market. Every store is unique, with its own dedicated database, and designed around real buying behaviour — clear product presentation, a fast checkout and dependable payment handling.
Web UI/UX & Product Design
Interfaces designed for clarity and trust, shaped by research and validated with real users before a single screen is built. Every layout, flow and interaction decision is made to support your business goals, not to look impressive in isolation.
Website Care, Maintenance & Optimization
Ongoing performance tuning, content updates, security patching and technical monitoring once your site or platform is live. A website is treated as a product that keeps improving, not a project that ends at launch.
Custom Software Development
Tailored applications and internal systems built around your exact processes, not adapted from someone else's product. Ideal for workflows and operations that off-the-shelf software was never designed to handle.
Enterprise & Cloud Solutions
Cloud-based architecture, system integration and modernization for organizations operating at scale. Built to stay stable and predictable as usage, teams and complexity grow.
DevOps & Infrastructure
Automated deployments, monitoring and infrastructure practices that keep releases safe and predictable. Fewer late-night incidents, faster and calmer releases.
Systems Integration & APIs
Connecting your website, internal software and third-party tools into one coherent system, so data moves cleanly between the platforms your business already depends on.
IT Consulting & Digital Strategy
Technology roadmaps, architecture reviews and modernization plans delivered by experienced engineers, not a sales team. Honest guidance on what to build, what to fix, and what to leave alone.
Native iOS & Android Apps
Native mobile applications built in Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android — full platform performance, native look and feel, and direct access to each platform's capabilities, not a cross-platform compromise.
A clear process, from first conversation to production.
No black boxes. Every engagement follows the same disciplined process, with visibility into progress at every stage.

Discovery & Strategy
We map your goals, constraints and users to define scope before any commitments are made.
Design & Architecture
Product design and technical architecture developed side by side. You review and approve the concept before development continues.
Development & QA
Iterative delivery in short cycles, with continuous testing and regular demos.
Deployment & Launch
Controlled, automated releases with rollback plans and monitoring from day one.
Support & Evolution
We stay involved after launch — monitoring, iterating and scaling with your business.
What working with us actually looks like.
Choosing a web development partner is as much about how a team works as what they build. This is what clients can expect from every engagement, large or small.
European engineering standards
GDPR-aware, security-first development practices applied throughout every engagement. Data protection and compliance are treated as part of the build, not an afterthought.
Direct access to your team
You work with the engineers and designers building your product — not a rotating cast of account managers. Questions get answered by the people who actually know the answer.
Transparent delivery
Clear timelines, regular demos and open communication from the very first sprint. You always know exactly what has been built and what happens next.
Built to scale
Architecture decisions made for your next stage of growth — not just the launch date. What we build today is expected to still make sense in three years.
Long-term partnership
We remain involved after go-live with support, monitoring and continuous iteration. Most of our client relationships continue well beyond the first release.
Cross-border experience
Delivery experience across European and international markets, time zones and regulations. We know how digital expectations differ from one market to the next.
The people behind the work.
You deal directly with the people who lead the company — no account management layer between you and the decisions that affect your project.

You can relax. We'll handle the rest.
Once your project is live, you shouldn't have to think about it. Hosting, monitoring, updates and support are handled quietly in the background, so you can focus on running your business — not your website.

Wherever your business operates, we're ready to build there.
HK Group International serves clients across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific — with a growing network of regional pages tailored to local languages and markets.

Questions we hear often.
Straight answers about how an engagement with HK Group International actually works.
It depends on the project — there is no single answer. A simple website can move much faster than a complex web application or custom platform, and scope, integrations and content readiness all affect the timeline. We give you a realistic estimate for your specific project after the initial conversation, delivered in short, visible cycles rather than one long build.
Yes. Our home base and primary focus is Europe, and we already work across time zones for clients further afield. Our regional pages are being expanded to better serve markets in the Americas, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Yes. We regularly audit existing websites, applications and codebases, then either extend them or rebuild the parts that no longer serve the business. You get an honest assessment before any commitment is made.
Launch is treated as a milestone, not an ending. Every engagement includes a handover, and most clients continue with ongoing care covering monitoring, updates, performance tuning and small iterations.
Smaller, well-defined websites are typically quoted as a fixed price. Larger web applications and software projects are usually scoped in phases, so you can see cost and value before committing to the next stage.
Every project starts with an initial design concept before we move into full development, so you see and approve the direction first — there is no risk of paying for a finished build you don't like. If a concept isn't right, we revise it, as many times as it takes, until you're happy with it. In practice, the vast majority of clients approve within the first couple of rounds. Every project is also backed by a signed contract, agreed before work begins.
Yes, as standard practice. We are comfortable working under NDA from the first conversation, and data processing terms are agreed in writing before any client data is handled.
If you are doing business in Quebec, effectively yes. The Charter of the French Language requires French commercial communication and, since Bill 96, French must be at least as prominent as any other language. Outside Quebec it is a commercial decision, but a bilingual site is the norm for anything national.
It adds concrete obligations rather than general principles: a named privacy officer, published privacy policy, breach notification, consent that is separate and specific per purpose, and a data portability right. We build the consent layer and the request-handling path to Law 25, because that automatically satisfies PIPEDA elsewhere in Canada.
Where data residency matters — public sector, health, finance — yes, in Canadian regions. For most commercial projects EU or US hosting with a CDN edge in Toronto or Montréal performs better and is unproblematic under PIPEDA, provided the transfer is documented.
We quote in CAD or EUR, fixed price for defined scopes and phased for larger builds, with no Canadian sales tax on our invoices as a non-resident supplier. A bilingual English and French build costs more than a single-language one, but for anything directed at Quebec it is not optional.
Either, but not machine translation. Quebec French differs from European French in vocabulary and register, and a site that reads as translated undermines the credibility it is meant to build. We handle the technical localisation and coordinate professional translation where your team does not produce the copy.
Yes. Interac e-Transfer alongside cards is standard for Canadian commerce, and we integrate Canada Post, Purolator and the major couriers for rates and tracking. Provincial tax resolution happens at checkout rather than after the fact.
In a Canadian region where residency matters — public sector, health, finance — and otherwise in the EU with a Canadian CDN edge, which usually performs better. Either way the transfer is documented in the privacy layer, which is what Law 25 actually requires.
Tell us about your project.
Whether you need a new website, a web application, or a larger software platform, share a few details and a member of our engineering team will follow up directly — no sales queue, no middlemen.
